Thanks for clarifying. I was just about to recommend that a few people be booted from the Firehose. It was useful for a while but now it just shows a torrent of what are obviously automated reposts of other blogs.

So for it to be useful, there would have to be a mechanism to report abusive posters. I don’t have a problem with getting all the feeds from someone who posts a couple of times a week but there is a feed on there at the moment (mbrown99) pump out dozens a day.  Downes is another one who just feeds in reposts but at least it is not automated.

I’ve now unsubscribed from the Firehose and Subscribed to Latest Blogs. I think the Firehose label is confusing because the natural assumption is that it’s all that is posted on the course, not all from everywhere. It would be nice if it could include stuff from Twitter, Q&A, as well.

I agree with @techczech. I love the idea of the 360 degree community but only if we can report those who abuse it.
